Luis Carrizo

Luis Carrizo nació en Montevideo, Uruguay en 1954. Es psicólogo (Universidad Católica del Uruguay), magister en Desarrollo Local y Regional (Universidad Católica del Uruguay) y doctorando en Ciencias Sociales (Universidad Sorbonne‐Nouvelle Paris 3 y Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina). Se desempeña actualmente como Coordinador del Centro de Estudios e Investigación en Administración Pública CEIAP (Escuela Nacional de Administración Pública Oficina Nacional del Servicio Civil, Presidencia de la República, Uruguay). Es coordinador de la Unidad de Investigación y Políticas Públicas (Centro Latinoamericano de Economía Humana |CLAEH). Es consultor de diversos organismos internacionales (OEA, BID, OEI, UNESCO, UNFPA). Director de Evaluación proyectos URB‐AL (Ciudad Vieja Renueva, URB‐AL I, IDEAL: Intermunicipalidades para la cohesión social y territorial en América Latina, URB‐AL III). Coordinador General de la Escuela Regional de América Latina del Programa MOST (Gestión de las Transformaciones Sociales) de UNESCO (desde 2003). Fue Vice‐Rector del CLAEH (2005‐ 2010). Miembro del Grupo de Expertos en Educación en Valores y Ciudadanía, asesor del Secretario General de la Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos I OEI (desde 2005). Integrante del Comité Científico del Institute International de Recherche Politique de Civilisation (Paris). Conferencista invitado en universidades de América Latina y Europa. Frank Kessel

Frank Kessel is a Professor in the Department of Individual, Family and Community Education, and a Senior Fellow in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy, at the University of New Mexico (in Albuquerque). Prior to joining UNM, he served for 12 years as Program Director for the Culture, Health and Human Development Program at the Social Science Research Council in New York. Also responsible for SSRC initiatives at the intersection of the social, psychological and bio-medical sciences, he has consulted with Canadian groups engaged in inter-disciplinary research on health, advised the National Cancer Institute on its “Science of Team Science” initiative, and contributed to several national and international conferences and publications in the area of Inter/Trans-Disciplinarity. A Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science, Kessel received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and his M.A. at the University of Cape Town, and has held academic positions at the University of Houston, the University of Alberta, and the University of Cape Town. Among his publications: Interdisciplinary Research: Case Studies from Health and Social Science; Sigmund Koch: Psychology in Human Context — Essays in Dissidence and Reconstruction; Contemporary Constructions of the Child; The Child and Other Cultural Inventions; and The Development of Language and Language Researchers.
